The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. Amen

Confession of Sin

Matthew Henry
Lord, I come to you like the self-convicted tax collector that stood far off from your presence, and would not even lift his eyes toward heaven. Instead, he beat his breast as he prayed. So I pray as he prayed, God be merciful to me, the sinner. For I, like him, see myself as the worst man in the world. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I admit my transgression, and my sin is painfully obvious to me. Purge me with the sprinkled blood of Christ’s Passover sacrifice so I can be clean. Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. Hide your face from looking on my sins, and blot out my iniquities.
